Quickie in Las Vegas
2018-04-04

Spontaneous trips to Las Vegas are my favorite. Last time we were in Vegas, we came for Christmas, which you can read about here. This time, we just so happened to be in Las Vegas on yet another holiday, Easter! Ben and I just wanted to watch a show, relax by the pool, and have a nice dinner. And so, we did just that.

Jewel

The whole trip was planned around one event: Ben surprised me with tickets to see Jewel! Remember Jewel? She was my favorite singer when I was 10 years old and I remember singing her lyrics “You were meant for me” and “Who will save your soul”. Watching her perform live was just incredible! She has the most beautiful and powerful voice I’ve ever heard. Her performance and stage presence was amazing, Jewel is a must see if you are lucky enough to get tickets to watch her perform.

Pool Day at the Wynn

The next morning after Jewel, I woke up early and headed to the gym for a quick cardio session since I knew I was going to be in a bikini all day. Ben and I love relaxing by the Wynn adult pool sipping on skinny margaritas and just being in the warm desert weather. It wasn’t too hot that day so we took a dip in their hot tub before heading back to the room.

Dinner at Andreas

After a day by the pool, we were famished and wanted a good hearty dinner. Our favorite restaurant at the Wynn Hotel is Andreas. Andreas has a full vegan/vegetarian menu and we’ve probably tried everything on their menu. We always get their chow fun noodles (Ben’s favorite), Xo vegan fried rice, and their stir fried broccoli. This time we tried a couple new items; The Impossible sliders and their curry dish. The highlight was definitely the sliders. OH EM GEE they were so good! I seriously can’t wait to go back just for these sliders.

Goodies on Demand

The morning before we checked out of our room at the Tower Suites, we checked out Wynn’s new breakfast/small bites Cafe; "Goodies on Demand". We tried their avocado toast and their “acai bowl” made with frozen spinach and kale and toppings of my choice. All in all I would say this quickie in Las Vegas was a successful trip.
