Yoga & Mimosas
2018-05-06

I love living in San Francisco because of the energy, the food, and there is always something going on. You’re never bored or out of things to do in the city! I was searching for a fun event on Eventbrite, when I stumbled upon “Yoga & Mimosas”. The event was hosted at Spark Social with Core Power Yoga, and I thought this was the perfect way to kick off the spring season and a great way to spend time with my girlfriends.

Spark Social SF is a food truck, beer, and sangria garden settled in the Mission Bay neighborhood of San Francisco. Spark collaborates with over one hundred and fifty bay area food trucks to offer different food for lunch and dinner. Spark is about cultivating a fun meeting place and bringing people together in the neighborhood.

At 9am, I arrived at Spark Social, and checked in and settled in on a spot on the astroturf field with my yoga mat, and my two girlfriends beside me. Yoga began promptly at 9:30am and went on for one hour. The instructor guided us through deep breathing exercises, basic beginner yoga poses, and ended with a group “om”.
Namaste all day.

I’ve never taken any yoga classes with Core Power Yoga, but attending this event was a good reminder to add in yoga a few times a week to my schedule because it helps clear the mind and improves my flexibility.

Once the one hour yoga ended, we all gathered in line to get our bottomless mimosas. There were several different flavors offered but I just went with the classic orange juice mimosa. My girlfriends and I, soaked up the sun, drank mimosas, and felt relaxed after a fun yoga session with Core Power Yoga. It was the perfect girl’s Sunday funday in San Francisco.
