Vegan in L.A.: Crossroads Kitchen

Los Angeles has a thriving vegan food scene, with a variety of amazing restaurants in every neighborhood. One of the most famous vegan restaurants is Crossroads Kitchen.

Crossroads Kitchen is an upscale plant-based restaurant and the first vegan spot to have a full bar. This trendy vegan food spot is run by chef Tal Ronnen (the creator of Gardein). Oprah calls him the best vegan chef in America. The menu at Crossroads is comforting classics like, pizza, crab cakes, pasta, and salads. The plates are small which is great for sharing and allows you to try many different dishes.

Ben and I came in on a busy friday night, we had reservations, so we were seated within a few minutes after checking in with the hostess. Once we were seated, we were promptly greeted by our server and took our drink order right away. All of their wines and alcohols are all vegan. I ordered the Mumm sparkling wine (You can take the girl out of Napa but not the Napa out of the girl)

After he brought us our drinks, he let us know that their "Seafood" tower was back and available to order tonight. We decided not to order it because we wanted to try their menu items. We started with the kale caesar salad and the "crab cakes". Both were really delicious, the salad was perfectly fresh and crisp. Ben loved the "crab cakes" he wanted to order more for dessert.

Next we moved onto the Spicy meatball pizza, tagliatelle bolognese, and the corn raviolis. Everything tasted so fresh and even though it was busy, the food came out fairly quickly.

For dessert, we had the heirloom tomato pizza.

I love the decor and vibe of the restaurant. It doesn’t look like a typical vegan restaurant that I’ve been to, it just feels like a really hip trendy restaurant in L.A. There was a couple seated next to us, probably on a first date, because the guy asked her what she could eat at Crossroads not realizing that the entire menu was plant based.

I’m so happy I finally got to check out Crossroads Kitchen. I highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic date or getting together with your friends for a fun friday night out.
