SLO - down
2018-05-13

Once a year, Ben and I do a small road trip to San Luis Obispo for an annual charity golf tournament with Cal Poly Alumni and I just tag along because I love having a day to walk around downtown San Luis Obispo, have lunch, and shop till I drop!

We left San Francisco Wednesday morning, and after a quick three and a half hour drive, we arrived in the heart of downtown San Luis Obispo.

Stay: Granada Hotel

There are so many cute shops in downtown SLO, my favorites were LuLu Luxe Boutique, Diane’s swimwear, and Heavenly Couture. I purchased a cute midi dress for $7.00 and a navy two piece set and a white bikini just in time for Cabo. I also stopped in at Urban Outfitters, Lululemon, and Sephora.

Fitness: SLO yoga center

If you know me, I love a good sweaty high intensity workout (Hello, Barry’s) but ever since the Yoga & Mimosas event, I’ve been trying to add yoga into my fitness routine. Which was perfect because SLO Yoga Center was the perfect yoga studio for me to chill out and “slo” down. I took the “Hatha” class with Peach, which was a 75 minute deep breathing, long stretches, and mindfulness.

Vegan Eats:

Bliss cafe Buddha bowl

For a treat I got tried their gluten and dairy free doughnuts. The Chocolate coconut and Lavender flavor. YUM! The weather was sunny and a little breezy, I sat outside on the patio next to the creek, it was such a relaxing and peaceful lunch. Lunch at Bliss Cafe was the perfect break from my shopping spree.

Before heading back to San Francisco, we stopped for brunch at Seeds on Garden. Seeds is the place for the best acai bowls and avocado toasts. I ordered a classic acai bowl and hummus toast. Ben ordered a green smoothie and avocado toast. Everything was so delicious and the place was so cute! I wish Seeds was in every city I visit because I could eat this all day everyday.

San Luis Obispo was too quick of a trip but I can’t wait to come back for more delicious vegan eats, cute shopping boutiques, and more yoga!

See you next year SLO.
