There were two things I wanted to do during my stay in L.A:
The Barry's Boot Camp Addiction is REAL and eat delicious vegan food. We decided to stay in Venice right on the beach and within walking distance of Abbot Kinney. We reserved one day to enjoy the Venice area, we did Barry’s Boot Camp and then explored Abbott Kinney, where we found Plant Food +Wine.
Plant Food + Wine is not your typical vegan hot spot that serves comfort food. It’s more of an elevated plant based dining experience. Everything is locally sourced and seasonal.

Chef Matthew Kenny’s menu is health conscious and delicious. He prepares his dishes minimally processed, refined and healthful. "When it comes to what we eat, we see things differently than others. Aligned with a world rapidly embracing the need for a healthier diet and an increase in plant-based food consumption, we are crafting the future of food".

We had to try their famous artisanal cheese plate, which featured Porcini Truffle, Harissa Jack, Red Wine Fennel and Spirulina Blue Cheese. I have never seen such a beautiful cheese plate. Every plate presented was stunning, beautifully plated, colorful, vibrant and of course delicious.

We enjoyed our lunch outside on their outdoor patio. Surrounded by trees, plants, and their own herb garden.
Since the restaurant is Plant Food + Wine, so we had to pair wine with our lunch. It was such a perfect day to be sitting outside, sipping wine on an outdoor patio surrounded by beautiful greenery.
Whether you’re vegan or not Plant Food + Wine should be at the top of your must go to list.
